FAQs:
How long is the race?
A 5k is typically 3.1 Miles. This course is actually 3.2 miles – so a few extra steps for your walking tracker.
Is it a challenging course?
It is considered a basic run. No major hills. It's designed to encourage the kids to get out there and run.
Do I have to run?
No. You can walk, jog, push a stroller or just make a donation to the Dunning school and sit back and cheer on the runners.
What should I bring with me?
Anything you need to run a road race comfortably. There are no lockers or bag checks.
Will water be available for runners?
Yes! There will be water located on the route and at the finish line. We will also have some type of granola or energy bars and bananas available after the run.
Will there be prizes awarded to the winners?
No prizes – we want all the prizes and benefits to go directly to the kids at school. The accomplishment of finishing a 5K is reward enough.
